Why The Rhino?
In 1983 whilst on safari in Zimbabwe I was charged, at close range, by a fully grown and particularly angry Rhino.
Standing behind the guide my heart pounded as the rhino came within 10 feet of us. As quickly as it charged it came to an abrupt stop. With a snort and a cloud of dust it turned and headed off into the bush.
"For me a life changing moment!"
Later I reflected on my reaction to such imminent danger and very probably serious harm to my health!
"They are such unpredictable animals and yet by encroaching on the rhino's space, especially with her baby in tow, her behaviour was perhaps quite predicable".
